Something to Wash Down Your Next Brunch

Well, this isn’t going to be a very long post. Either you love Bloody Mary’s or you hate them.

I happen to belong to the love them group.

I have always liked my Bloody Mary’s with a kick, just how my dad makes them. So this recipe is inspired by the way he does it. No measuring exactly, mostly using your taste buds to guide you.

Need more kick? More horseradish. Need more spice? Add more hot sauce and black pepper. Need more depth? Add more worcestershire sauce. Balance? Add more lemon juice. Got it? Good.

So try out this recipe for your next brunch. All measurements are approximate, taste testing necessary :)

Bloody Mary’s
(Makes about 4 drinks)

4 c. V8 juice
2 1/2 tbsp. horseradish
1 1/2 tbsp. worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. black pepper
10ish dashes hot sauce
Juice of 1/2 to 1 lemon
4 shots of plain vodka
2 pinches celery seed
Salt to taste, if necessary
Celery stalks and lemon slices for garnish

Whisk together all ingredients in a pitcher. Taste and adjust seasonings to your liking.

Pour over ice and serve!

Complicated, right?
